360 View of Korte Stadium

In what has grown to become of the premier soccer facilities in the country, Ralph Korte Stadium was first used in 1994 for the U.S. Olympic Festival-'94. It has since been the site of numerous local, regional, state, national, professional, and international soccer events. The field was named after Robert (Bob) Guelker, who passed away after the 1985 season. Guelker, who was a U.S. Olympic coach, led SIUE to two national titles, including the first Division II title in 1972 and the University's first NCAA Division I crown in 1979.
